Short walks with your dog for a few minutes everyday and increasing his activity day by day will help burn stored fat. Encourage your dog to move around the house and play with you. If his strength and endurance starts to increase then add more time to his walking exercise, introduce him to a hard run, or play fetch. This will be fun for both you and your dog and will also serve as a bonding exercise. Paying attention to your dog’s weight can also prevent your dog from acquiring diseases associated with being overweight.
